Korea will impose anti-dumping duties on Malaysian plywood for the next 3 years

Recently, the Korean Trade Commission (KTC) decided to impose anti-dumping duties of 5%-38% on Malaysian plywood manufacturers over the next three years.

According to the Korea Wood-based Panel Association (KWPA), the interests of Korean plywood companies have been damaged in the process as nine Malaysian plywood exporters sold their products to Korean wood product manufacturers at lower prices. The Korean Trade Commission (KTC) conducted a maximizing investigation of these complaints.

One of the nine Malaysian companies that are subject to anti-dumping duties has a tax rate of 38.1%, and the remaining tax rates are 5.12%-9.75%.

This policy will take effect within 50 days from the date of the decision of the Korea Trade Commission.
