Computer simulations show graphene performance outperforms graphene

According to a report recently organized by the American Physicist Organization Network, a German scientific research group used computer simulations to find that because of its special geometry, graphyne may be more conductive than graphene, and its use is more extensive. Related research was published in the latest issue of Physical Review Letters.

Over the past few years, many scientists have devoted themselves to the study of graphene for the magical material graphene, and research reports related to the characteristics and uses of graphene have also come out in succession. But now, as scientists continue to deepen the study of graphyne, it has been found that graphyne has a strong electrical conductivity and a variety of geometric shapes, and its performance may make graphene dwarf.

It is well known that graphene is a single layer of carbon atoms that are arranged in the shape of a hexagonal or fine wire fence. Graphite is also a single layer of carbon atoms, but these carbon atoms can exist in many different forms, which makes its use more extensive.

Scientists have discovered that graphene has electrons that conduct electricity. The energy of an electron is directly proportional to its momentum. When the energy level of an electron is designed to be three-dimensional, they will assume the shape of a Dirac spine. Because of this unique relationship, these conductive electrons behave as if they are not of a mass, so that they can travel at a speed very close to the speed of light. This property is very useful for improving the current transistor technology.

Graphene has single or double bonds, while graphyne can possess two or three bonds; moreover, graphyne is not limited to a hexagonal shape, but it can actually exist in a myriad of forms.

In the latest research, scientists used computer simulations to carefully study three different forms of graphyne. As a result, they found that all three graphenes produced a Dirac spine, although their shapes were slightly different, and most importantly, One of the materials, named 6,6,12-graphyne, can exist in a tetragonal form. Graphynes of this structure should enable electrons to flow in only one direction. Scientists said that it is not necessary to dope such graphene with other materials to make it highly conductive, and graphene generally needs to add dopants thereto.

Although scientists can now only produce very small graphynes, they are excited about the latest research and believe that the application of graphyne is very attractive. In addition, the study has proven that many different forms of graphyne produce Dirac vertebrae, which means that there are many other materials that may well do this. (Liu Xia)

Microbend Mass Flow Meter

Sealand is a trustworthy manufacturer of Microbend Mass Flow Meter, Microbend Mass Flowmeter, Microbend Coriolis Mass Flow Meter, Microbend Coriolis Mass Flowmeter.

Site Selection for Mass Flow Meter Installation
a) Sensor stays away from mechanical vibration source, for example, pump. Use flexible pipe to connect meter with pipeline if inevitable. The housing of meter must be standalone, out of touch with any other device. There must be 3 times the size of sensor between 2 sensors if there are many flow meters on the same pipeline, to avoid resonance.
b) Do not install sensor on pipeline that easily expands with hot and contracts with cold, especially near expansion joint, which leads to a worse stability.
c) Sensor stays away from industrial electromagnetic field, such as large generator and transformer, better 5m at least. Such device influences the performance of drive coil and pickoffs. Make sure magnetic field intensity less than 400A/m.
d) Sensor shall be installed on lower pipeline, to be easily full of fluid.
e) Make sure Ex-mark meet application requirements if in hazardous area.
f) Build a sunshade if the meter is under direct solar radiation. g) Keep the meter from corrosive liquid.
