First, here’s an overview of the critical weather conditions:
1. Heavy Snowfall in the Northeast
Starting from the 3rd to the 4th, there will be heavy blizzards in the central and eastern parts of the Northeast, with some regions in the eastern part of Heilongjiang receiving very heavy snowfall of up to 20-25 mm. Additionally, over the next three days, light to moderate snowfall is expected in the northern part of Xinjiang. Specifically, on the 3rd, there will be heavy snow in areas like Tacheng, the Yili River Valley, and parts of the Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang, with localized snowstorms.
2. Gale and Cooling Forecast
Under the impact of two cold air masses, from 08:00 on the 3rd to 05:00 on the same day, parts of the northwestern region, Inner Mongolia, North China, Northeast China, Huanghuai, Jianghuai, northeastern Jiangnan, and northern Xinjiang will experience a temperature drop of 6-8°C. Areas in northeastern Inner Mongolia and the Hetao region, as well as parts of the northeastern region, may see temperature drops exceeding 10°C. Most areas north of the Huai River will also experience northerly winds at 4-6 levels, with gusts reaching up to 7.

Second, here’s the detailed forecast for the next three days:
From 08:00 on the 3rd to 04:00 on the 4th, there will be light to moderate snow or snow showers across much of northern Xinjiang, the western Hexi Corridor of Gansu, northeastern Inner Mongolia, and the northeastern part of China. In particular, Xinjiang’s Tacheng, the Yili River Valley, and areas along the Tianshan Mountains will see heavy snow, with heavy snowfall in the Ili River Valley; northeastern Liaoning, central and eastern Jilin, and central and eastern Heilongjiang will experience large-scale snowstorms (8-18 mm). There will be light to moderate rainfall or showers in western Guizhou, southern Yunnan, and southern South China. Winds ranging from 4 to 6 levels will sweep through northern Xinjiang, most of the northwestern region, Inner Mongolia, Northeast China, North China, Huanghuai, and eastern Jianghuai, with gusts reaching 7 to 8. The Bohai Sea, most of the Yellow Sea, and the northeastern part of the East China Sea will experience northwest winds of 7-8 levels, with gusts up to 9-10. The Taiwan Strait will have northeast winds of 7-8 levels and gusts of 9.

From 08:00 on the 4th to 05:00 on the same day, there will be light to moderate snow or snow showers in the northwestern part of Xinjiang, central Hexi Corridor in Gansu, northwestern North China, and northeastern and eastern Heilongjiang. Particularly, there will be large areas of heavy snow in northeastern Heilongjiang, with blizzards (20 to 25 mm). Moderate to heavy rain will fall in Guizhou, most of the southern Yangtze River region, southern China, eastern and southern Yunnan. Winds of 4 to 6 levels will affect the central and eastern northwestern region, most of Inner Mongolia, western North China, and northeastern China. The Taiwan Strait and the Bashi Channel will have northeast winds of 7 to 8 levels and gusts of 9.

From 08:00 on the 5th to 06:00 on the same day, northern Xinjiang, northeastern Inner Mongolia, northern Heilongjiang, southwestern and southeastern Liaoning, the Shandong Peninsula, and other areas will see light to moderate snow, with localized heavy snow; western Guizhou, eastern and southern Yunnan, Jiangnan, and much of southern China will experience light to moderate rain or showers. Winds of 4 to 6 levels will prevail in the central and eastern northwestern region, North China, most of Inner Mongolia, and Heilongjiang. The Bohai Sea, most of the Yellow Sea, and the northern part of the East China Sea will see northwest winds of 7 to 8 levels and gusts of 9 to 10. The Taiwan Strait will have northeast winds of 7 to 8 levels and gusts of 9. Southeastern South China Sea will see winds of 7 to 9 levels, with gusts reaching 10 to 11.
