Metal halide lamp performance structure

There are two main types of metal halide lamps: quartz metal halide lamps and ceramic metal halide lamps. The former uses a quartz arc tube, while the latter employs a transparent alumina ceramic arc tube. Metal halide lamps are among the most advanced electric light sources available today. They offer high luminous efficiency (ranging from 65 to 140 lumens per watt), long service life (between 5,000 and 20,000 hours), excellent color rendering (Ra values from 65 to 95), compact design, and stable performance. These lamps combine the best features of fluorescent, high-pressure mercury, and high-pressure sodium lamps, while eliminating many of their shortcomings. As a result, they have become increasingly popular due to their superior performance and versatility.

On the market, metal halide lamps, like other gas discharge lamps, contain mercury as part of their internal fill. Mercury is a toxic substance that can pose health risks during manufacturing and may pollute the environment if not handled properly. When the lamp is operating, a small amount of mercury vapor is released, and improper disposal can lead to environmental contamination. Metal halide lamps produce light by exciting a mixture of metal vapors (such as mercury) and halide compounds (like those of cesium, sodium, or indium). This process results in a spectrum with enhanced color characteristics, improving both the quality and efficiency of the light output. Typical color temperatures for these lamps range around 4,000K, with a color rendering index of about 70 and a luminous efficacy exceeding 70 lumens per watt.

The metal halide lamp product features an internationally recognized olive-shaped arc tube design, ensuring excellent light color consistency. This design effectively addresses issues related to uneven color distribution caused by light drift. The lamp also uses a solderless bracket mounting structure, which prevents damage to solder joints due to high-temperature oxidation or mechanical vibration, thereby enhancing the overall reliability of the bulb. Additionally, the arc tube can be ignited from any position, offering greater flexibility. With a luminous efficiency that is 20% higher than standard metal halide lamps, this model achieves an average luminous efficacy of 110 lumens per watt (HPl400/ED/UP/4K). When used in a well-designed lighting circuit, it provides better electrode protection, extending the lamp's lifespan to up to 20,000 hours or more. High efficiency and long life reduce the number of lamps required in a project, lower replacement frequency, and ultimately cut down on maintenance costs. It is suitable for both vertical and horizontal ignition, with vertical ignition being more effective. These lamps are ideal for use in factories, large stores, shopping centers, office buildings, billboards, airports, and other areas requiring high-quality, consistent lighting.

600x600 Led Panel Light

Rhein Lighting has provided a line of backlit Led Panel Light. The flat panel light has No LGP, back-lit design, and the lens is made of PMMA and will not yellowing over time, which is much more bright and more durable than edge-lit light panel. Take 2x2 led light drop ceiling for example, it can replace the equivalent of 420W fluorescent tubes, saving you up to 80% in energy consumption.

The led ceiling panel light provides long-life and uniform illumination, in addition to being equipped with a 0-10V dimmable driver. These led light panels are ETL, DLC, CE, ROHS approved, and it has a 5 years limited warranty.

Rhein Lighting is a specialized in the design and manufacture of led panel downlight, led slim down light, 600x600 led panel light, led rope light, Led Strip Light, led plant light and Led Grow Light etc.
