In the context of the rapid growth of Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV), the photovoltaic market has introduced new demands and innovative approaches for the encapsulation of double-glass solar modules. In response to these evolving needs, Lushan’s specialized EVA film for double-glass modules has emerged as a cutting-edge solution.
Recently, several manufacturers have adopted a new method for producing double-glass modules using component laminators. The application of Lushan's dedicated EVA film in this process has proven highly effective. These double-glass PV modules have successfully passed rigorous mechanical, optical, electrical, and aging tests. As a result, the product is now being used in mass production and has received positive feedback from customers. It has quickly become the go-to material for many double-glass module manufacturers.
Lushan’s special EVA film for double-glass modules can replace traditional polyvinyl butyral (PVB) films. It is designed specifically for use in double-glass PV module packaging, enabling direct lamination with laminators. This not only reduces costs but also improves efficiency. The film effectively prevents common issues such as air bubbles and misalignment during the manufacturing process. Additionally, it offers excellent impact resistance, strong moisture barrier properties, high insulation resistance, and superior performance in resisting potential-induced degradation (PID). These features ensure that the modules meet strict safety standards, including the falling ball impact test.
The structure of the double-glass EVA film used in the assembly process is illustrated in Figure 1 below:
