Scientific use of pesticides for different purposes

Pesticides are used in agricultural production to control agricultural pests and regulate crop growth, thereby protecting crops, fruits and their products from harm. Commonly used pesticides can generally be divided into seven types according to different uses:

Insecticides - pesticides used to control various pests, such as trichlorfon and imidacloprid. They mainly kill insects through four ways: stomach poisoning, contact killing, fumigation and systemic absorption.

Acaricides - Acaricides have certain selectivity, such as pesticides such as Kruth. They have different effects on the control of alfalfa at different developmental stages, and some have better contact effects on eggs and larvae or pups, but have a poorer effect on adult mites.

Bactericide - used to control plant diseases, such as Bordeaux mixture, Daisen zinc, carbendazim, triadimefon and other pesticides. It mainly inhibits the growth of pathogens, protects crops from infestation and infiltrates into crops to eliminate invading bacteria. Most fungicides are mainly used to protect against the occurrence and spread of diseases.

Herbicide - is a pesticide specially used to control weeds in farmland, such as pesticides such as chlorpyrifos. Some herbicides cause phytotoxicity to grasses and seedlings when the concentration is excessive.

Plant growth regulators - are agents used to regulate plant growth and development, such as gibberellin, chlormequat, ethephon and other pesticides. These pesticides have similar effects to plant hormones and can promote or inhibit the growth and development of plants to meet the growth needs.

Nematicides - mainly chloropicrin, methyl bromide and so on. Suitable for controlling various nematodes on vegetables, strawberries, fruit trees and trees. There are two types of nematode control agents: fumigants and non-fumigants. Some pesticides can also kill nematodes.

Rodenticides - rodenticides can also be classified into stomach poisons, repellents, attractants, sterilization agents and fumigants depending on the mode of action. The main rodenticide is bromadiolone.
