Statistical analysis shows that: China's waste aluminum development prospects

Statistical analysis shows that in 2003, the proportion of recycled aluminum in the total aluminum production reached 22.4%. Among them, the developed countries averaged over 35%, Germany reached 50.7%, the United States reached 52.0%, and Japan reached 100%. From 1992 to 2002, the total aluminum output in Western countries increased from 20.36 million tons to 25.46 million tons, of which the output of recycled aluminum increased from 5.47 million tons to 7.86 million tons, an increase of 43.7%, an increase far higher than that of primary aluminum. In 2001, the per capita consumption of recycled aluminum was 2 kg in the United States, 12.56 kg in the United States, and 1.02 kg in China, which was only 1/2 of the world's per capita consumption.

Since 1989, China has been a net importer of aluminum scrap. In 2004, China imported 1.196 million tons of aluminum scrap. In the 15 years since 1989, the average annual growth rate of net imports of aluminum scrap has reached 44%. At the end of last year, industry veterans had issued warnings that "China's investment in renewable aluminum industry caused concern". There are still people here who are asking: Where are our resources? In the renewable aluminum industry, which relies heavily on imported resources, with the rise of industry giants, who may provide us with sufficient raw materials? Foreign aluminum waste resources under the strong purchasing power of our country, the price has repeatedly risen, our low labor cost advantages can go far? In addition, the rapid increase in imports of aluminum scrap in China is also unsurprising for the industry. Last year, the amount of aluminum scrap imports hit a record 1.196 million tons, an increase of 83.7% over the previous year and an increase of 450,000 over the forecast. ~500,000 tons.

Is there any resource support for expanding the scale of aluminum metal recycling? Experts suggest that the vision can be inward. Some studies believe that from this year onwards, scrap aluminum recycling in China will enter a period of rapid growth, and is expected to increase by more than 16% annually.

According to reports, as of the end of 2003, China's waste aluminum reserves have reached 53,200,000 tons, indicating that the waste aluminum resources are guaranteed. When the use of aluminum reaches a certain period, it begins to enter the payback period. The scrapping period of aluminum products in China is about 15 years, and the recycling rate of scrap aluminum is about 75%. In 1990, the total consumption of primary aluminum in China was approximately 830,000 tons, the consumption of aluminum scrap was approximately 250,000 tons, and the cumulative aluminum consumption reached 1.08 million tons. After 15 years, that is, in 2005, the amount of domestic recyclable aluminum scrap should be around 810,000 tons. On the other hand, many fields in China have entered the cycle of replacement, and automobiles, household appliances, computers, and mobile phones are quite large in annual elimination. At the same time, renewable metal resources in the power, cable, electrical and mechanical equipment, construction, and decoration industries are also increasing. According to calculations, from 2004 to 2010, China's scrap aluminum can also save about 43 million tons. Therefore, China's waste aluminum has a lot of space for development and its prospects are very broad.
