Recently, CSA International, the authoritative testing and certification body in the field of power tools in North America, has released the revised standard CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 71.2-2010 for stationary power tools.

China has now become a major producer and exporter of power tools worldwide, and one of the major export areas for Chinese products is the North American market, which has a strong demand for power tools. In the North American market, in order to ensure public safety, power tool products must pass independent testing laboratories to determine that the product meets relevant safety regulations.

It is understood that the safety standards applied to different types of power tools vary in North America. The standards for power tools can be Portable Electric Tools, Bench and Stationary and Fixed Electric Tools. Gardening Appliances fall into three categories.

The CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 71.2-2010 standard is revised on the basis of the CAN/CSA-C22.2 NO. 71.2-M89 (R2006) standard, and the updated standard will still be compatible with the current UL987-electric Benchtop and stationary power tool standards are also available. The updated standard expands the range of products covered, from the original 2500VA and below to 3700W and below. Also, new definitions have been added, most of which are new definitions of table saws, including:

· Inclination: The angle of inclination of the saw blade to the table top. The angle of inclination of the saw blade at right angles to the table is 0

· Blade guard: Mounted above the table to allow work parts to pass through it and the table. The shield is designed to reduce the user's contact with the blade to avoid injury.

· Cantilever blade guard: A blade guard that is suspended from a device on the desktop and is mounted away from the reach of the desktop.

· Cutting thickness: also the maximum sawing depth

· Cutting edge range: 20% of the periphery of the table saw radius

· Fence: Equipment used to guide the positioning of working parts during the cutting process

· Rip fence: the guiding surface of the working part is parallel to the plane of the table saw, and the distance from the table saw can be set freely.

· Springback: The sudden action of the workpiece on the table saw that is clamped, bounced back, or not properly placed, can easily cause these work parts to be pushed by the blade.

CSA International said that the newly revised standards will help CSA International to provide better service and ensure that customers' products meet the needs of the North American market in all aspects to meet the stringent safety requirements of power tools in the North American market.

The production process of copper in China is dominated by copper concentrates and pyrotechnic smelting of blister copper. The status quo is that the processing capacity is greater than the smelting capacity, smelting capacity has greatly exceeded the support capacity of copper concentrate, copper concentrate resources and scrap copper imports are required. Statistics show that in the 21st century, the output of domestic copper concentrate has not been significantly increased, maintaining an annual output of 600,000 tons (copper content, the same below), by the end of 2007 will form nearly 3.7 million tons of smelting capacity, far exceeding By then China's copper concentrate resources and the protection of the capacity of the international market may provide the amount of copper concentrate. The production capacity of copper mines in China can only meet 40% of the smelting capacity.
