Guangdong Maoming Bureau develops pesticide residue detection method

All the experimental staff of the food laboratory of Maoming Epidemic Bureau of Guangdong Province, under the care and support of the leaders of the Bureau, overcame all kinds of difficulties, worked overtime, and after several experiments and optimizations, they finally developed successful detection methods for organophosphorus pesticides in fruits and vegetables. The method has the characteristics of rapid detection, accurate quantification, low detection limit and low experimental cost, and can simultaneously detect 11 organophosphorus pesticide residues such as methamidophos, dichlorvos, dimethoate and parathion. Compared with the national standard GB/T20769-2006, the inspection method of this bureau is better than the national standard for individual indicators, and the detection limit of all indicators is less than or equal to 0.010 mg/kg.

Pesticide residue detection is the laboratory's subsequent detection of veterinary residues (chloramphenicol, malachite green, nitrofuran metabolites, sandcastine, sulfonamides, melamine, etc.) and heavy metal detection (lead, arsenic, cadmium) , mercury, copper, etc.) after another major testing project. The implementation of this project further improved the testing business of the comprehensive laboratory of the Bureau, and provided important technical guarantees for import and export food safety.
