New "middle and low speed maglev rail transit system" launched [Full Text]

The Laiwu Steel Group, Beijing-controlled Maglev Company and the National University of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China held a promotion meeting for medium and low-speed magnetic suspension rail transit systems in Jinan. It is understood that this system is a new measure taken by Laigang after the development of hot-rolled F-shaped guide rail steel and magnetic levitation track.

The medium and low speed magnetic levitation rail transit system is applicable to urban areas and can replace light rail and subway systems. Hot-rolled F-section steel is one of the two core technologies for the industrialization of rail transit systems for medium and low-speed maglev trains. In order to realize the industrialization of magnetic levitation rail transit system, Beijing Controlled Magnetic Suspension Corporation and National University of Defense Technology have inspected and signed a long-term cooperation agreement with Laiwu Steel Group to jointly develop medium and low-speed magnetic suspension rails. Laiwu Steel has successfully developed the first "hot-rolled F-shaped steel" in the Mainland, and is also the world's first hot-rolled F-shaped steel finished product. It has become the sole supplier of medium and low-speed magnetic levitation trains.

At present, Laiwu Iron and Steel has developed more than 1,500 tons of track products for medium and low-speed maglev trains, and successfully laid and used the 1.5km low-speed magnetic levitation demonstration line in Tangshan.
