In the bustling city of Panjin, located in Liaoning Province, a group of dedicated female traffic police officers has been making waves with their innovative approach to improving roadside safety and comfort. Over the past few months, these women have been hard at work developing a cutting-edge solar-powered traffic platform that promises to transform how officers perform their duties, especially during extreme weather conditions.
The new platform, designed and built by Sergeant He Shipai and Traffic Officer Ma Yueqiu from the Women's Traffic Police Squadron of the Xinglongtai Brigade, integrates several advanced features aimed at enhancing both functionality and officer safety. The platform is powered entirely by solar energy, ensuring sustainability and reducing reliance on traditional power sources. Its top section houses solar panels that charge an internal battery, while the LED display around the perimeter provides real-time traffic updates and travel information to drivers passing by.
Inside the structure, there’s a cooling fan to keep officers comfortable during scorching summer days. For colder winters, the platform comes equipped with electric heating in the flooring, ensuring warmth without compromising safety. The base of the platform features a hydraulic lifting system, allowing it to be raised by about 5 centimeters when necessary for relocation or maintenance. Additionally, the base includes a set of wheels, enabling two officers to easily move the platform as needed.
One of the most unique aspects of this design is the reinforced glass enclosure surrounding the base. This not only provides protection against harsh weather elements but also allows for a sliding window that can be raised or lowered depending on visibility requirements. This thoughtful addition ensures that officers remain protected while still having full control over their interaction with motorists.
Currently, this groundbreaking invention is undergoing trials and improvements before being officially deployed across various intersections within Panjin. Moreover, the team has already submitted applications for two national patents with the State Intellectual Property Office, reflecting their commitment to innovation and professionalism.
Sergeant He Shipai explained their motivation behind creating this multifunctional solar traffic platform: “Our goal was to provide our colleagues with better working conditions regardless of whether it’s freezing cold or sweltering hot outside. By designing something that could offer both physical protection and practical assistance, we hope to enhance overall efficiency and morale among our ranks.â€
Officer Ma Yueqiu added further details about the technical specifications: “We wanted this platform to be versatile yet robust enough to withstand typical urban challenges like strong winds—up to force six or seven. To achieve this, we incorporated durable materials throughout its construction while maintaining ease-of-use principles.â€
This project represents more than just technological advancement; it symbolizes dedication towards public service excellence combined with creative problem-solving skills. As word spreads about what these remarkable individuals have achieved, many are hopeful that similar initiatives will soon follow suit nationwide. After all, every small step forward makes a big difference when it comes to keeping everyone safe on our roads!
