Recently, a special type of steel-cored aluminum stranded wire used in high-voltage transmission networks was developed and successfully trial-produced in Feiyin Group Pingyin Aluminum Co., Ltd. The test was fully in line with product specifications and quality requirements. This type of aluminum stranded wire fills in the gap of the stranded type and adds a new "fist" product to the company to seize high-value-added market share.
The cross-section of this kind of aluminum stranded wire is 800 square millimeters. It requires 48 single-strand aluminum wires to be twisted by multiple processes. The production process is quite complicated and the equipment requirements are relatively high. Ping Aluminum Co., Ltd. is affected by the level of production equipment and has never produced similar twisted wires before. However, the superiority of the product's market position and high added value have strengthened its determination in R&D and trial production. They quickly organized technical forces to tackle the problem. After careful comparison of equipment production capacity and product data requirements and trial and error demonstration, a bold and safe design and calculation of a set of safe and reasonable process procedures and parameters provide sufficient assurance for formal production. At the same time, they actively communicated with customers and successfully won the first 4,000-meter order. At present, these batches of products have been successfully off the assembly line and passed quality inspections. They will be shipped to customers in the near future.
