Commissioned by the National Energy Administration, the China National Machinery Association organized an appraisal for a prototype of the CAP1400/ACP1000 nuclear power conventional island main feed pump group. This prototype was jointly developed by Shanghai Electric Power Repair Factory Co., Ltd. and the National Nuclear Power Planning and Design Institute in Shanghai. After thorough evaluation, the appraisal committee expressed strong confidence in the project. They concluded that the R&D team successfully created a high-performance water pumping unit with independent intellectual property rights. The project has also resulted in multiple patents being filed, demonstrating significant technological innovation. The performance metrics of the prototype have been confirmed to meet international advanced standards, comparable to similar products on the global market. The committee unanimously approved the prototype, marking a major milestone in China's efforts to develop self-reliant nuclear power technology. This achievement not only enhances domestic capabilities but also strengthens the country's position in the global nuclear energy sector.
