In the fourth quarter of 2013, the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision released the findings from its latest safety belt product inspection campaign. The results revealed that two batches of products from a single company failed to meet the required industry standards.
The inspection was part of a broader quality control initiative conducted by the bureau, which tested 17 different batches of seat belts from 12 companies across the province. The evaluation was carried out in accordance with GB6095-2009 "Safety Belts" and other relevant technical specifications. Key aspects such as the overall structure, component appearance, webbing and rope quality, static and dynamic load performance, labeling, and sliding resistance were all thoroughly examined.
Upon review, it was found that the two batches of safety belts produced by Shandong Binzhou Yongan Labor Protection Factory did not comply with the established requirements. The non-conforming items included issues related to the structural integrity, visual condition of parts, material quality of the webbing and ropes, as well as the performance under both static and dynamic loads. These deficiencies could potentially compromise the effectiveness and safety of the product during use.
