Wheel bolts, also known as tire bolts, are used to fix the brake drum and the hub and the components such as the wheel and the hub. They are matched with the nut (including the inner nut, the nut and the outer nut, etc.) during use, so A complete supply of nuts.
Wheel bolts are generally available in stud bolts and bolts: bolted and stud bolts are shown below.
(1) Stud bolts
The stud bolt is a stud with a positioning flange in the middle and a thread at both ends. When in use, the inner end is fixed to the hub, and the outer end is connected to the wheel by an outer nut; When the tires are assembled, it is necessary to use a sleeve nut to fix the inner wheel, and then the outer wheel is placed on the sleeve nut and fixed by the outer nut wheel.
(2) Bolted wheel hub bolts
One end is a head, which is generally made into a circular shape for mounting and positioning. The shaft below the head is rolled with straight knurling, and its length is adapted to the depth of the bolt hole on the hub. The pat is fitted into the threaded hole of the hub, so the internal thread is omitted; the other end of the bolt has a threaded portion for the outer nut to fix the wheel. In the case of double tires, a set of nuts is also required.
The nut used on the hub bolt, except that the inner nut is the same as the normal nut. One end of the nut and the outer nut are formed into a ball (cone) surface to match the tapered screw hole on the wheel disc. The thread of the hub bolt and nut, except for a few common for the left and right wheels, are mostly separated, that is, the thread on one end of the hub is installed, the right wheel is used for right-hand thread (shunning), and the left wheel is used for left-hand thread (reverse). The thread connected to one end of the hub (double-bolt type) is a right-handed thread on the left and right wheels. This prevents the nut from loosening when the vehicle is moving forward, which ensures safety.
