In 2012, the list of the first batch of non-ferrous metal companies to eliminate backward production capacity was announced

On July 9, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of the first batch of enterprises in 19 industrial sectors that eliminated backward production capacity in 2012. Among them, non-ferrous metals such as electrolytic aluminum, copper, lead, and zinc were all involved. The first production capacity of some varieties has exceeded April. Yearly goals issued.

In the list of the first enterprises to eliminate backward production capacity announced this time, only nine companies involved in electrolytic aluminum production capacity of 271,600 tons; 43 copper (including regenerated copper) smelting enterprises, involving a capacity of 705,200 tons; lead (including recycled lead ) 47 smelting enterprises involved 1,143,700 tons of backward production capacity, and 18 zinc (including renewed zinc) smelting enterprises with a capacity of 288,200 tons.

In April of this year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the following annual elimination of backward production capacity targets: 270,000 tons of electrolytic aluminum, 700,000 tons of copper smelting, 1.15 million tons of lead smelting, and 320,000 tons of zinc smelting. By contrast, among the metal species announced this time, electrolytic aluminum and copper have exceeded the annual target, and lead and zinc have also occupied the majority of the target.

In accordance with the "Notice of the State Council on Further Strengthening the Elimination of Backward Production Capacity" (Guo Fa [2010] No. 7) and the "Notice on Distributing Targets and Tasks for Phase-out of Backward Production Capacity for 19 Industrial Sectors in 2012" (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, No. 159, 2012) The provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government have implemented the task of dismantling the backward production capacity of the industrial sector in 2012, and implemented the company’s list on local government websites and mainstream media.

Now iron and steel, steel, coke, calcium carbide, ferroalloy, electrolytic aluminum, copper smelting, lead smelting, zinc smelting, cement, flat glass, paper, alcohol, monosodium glutamate, citric acid, leather, printing and dyeing, chemical fiber, lead A list of 19 companies that have eliminated outdated production capacity, such as batteries, will be announced (see Annex). Relevant parties should take effective measures and strive to close down the backward production capacity of listed companies in the list before the end of September 2012, ensure that they are completely dismantled before the end of 2012, and that they should not be transferred to other regions and neighboring countries. All localities shall, in accordance with the “Circular on Issuing the Implementation Plan for Eliminating Backward Production Capacity Inspections” (Ministry of Industry and Information Industry, No. 46 [2011]), do a good job in the field inspection, acceptance and task completion of the elimination of backward production capacity enterprises.
