The method of turning the hole of the workpiece on the lathe is called the boring (also called the hole), and the boring can be used for roughing or finishing. The pupil is divided into a through hole and a through hole, as shown in FIG. 2 . The through hole is basically the same as the outer circle of the car, except that the direction of the infeed and the retraction are opposite. Trial and test are also carried out when roughing and finely boring the inner hole, the method is the same as the outer circle of the car. Note that the lead angle of the through hole file is 45 o ~ 75 o , and the main off angle of the through hole cutter is greater than 90 o .

3 Quality analysis of the inner hole of the car

1. Dimensional accuracy does not meet the requirements

1) The hole diameter is larger than the required size: the reason is that the boring knife is not installed correctly, the tool tip is not sharp, and the reference line of the turntable under the small carriage is not aligned with the “0” line. The hole is skewed and beats, and the measurement is not timely.

2) The hole diameter is smaller than the required size; the reason is that the knife bar causes the phenomenon of “knife”, the plug gauge is worn or improperly selected, the cutter is worn and the turning temperature is too high.

2. Geometric accuracy does not meet the requirements

1) The inner hole is polygonal: the reason is that the lathe gear is too tightly engaged, the contact is poor, and the gap between the various parts of the lathe is too large, and the deformation of the thin-walled workpiece also causes the inner hole to be polygonal.

2) The inner hole has a taper: the reason is that the center line of the main shaft is not parallel to the guide rail. When the small carriage is used, the reference line is incorrect, the cutting amount is too large or the cutter bar is too thin to cause the phenomenon of “knife”.

3) The surface roughness is not up to the requirement: the reason is that the blade is not sharp, the angle is not correct, the cutting amount is improperly selected, and the coolant is insufficient.
