The main misunderstanding of summer corn fertilization

1. The selected fertilizer has insufficient stamina and the corn is de-fertilized later. In the early stage of corn growth, the growth was good, but in the later stage, the phenomenon of de-fertilization appeared. The performance of corn seed was less than the top. It was commonly called corn baldness. One of the reasons for this phenomenon was that the fertilizer used was short and the stamina was insufficient.

2, diazo fertilizer light phosphorus potassium fertilizer. Many farmers are accustomed to applying more nitrogen fertilizer when fertilizing. They believe that the corn growth period is short and must be promptly mobilized with nitrogen fertilizer. Therefore, in the whole growth period of summer maize, most of the available nitrogen fertilizer is the result, which leads to the accumulation of nitrogen in the soil, resulting in nutrients. Waste, production costs increase, but the phosphorus and potassium fertilizer is insufficient, the soil phosphorus and potassium supply capacity is poor, the lack of medium and trace elements, the appearance of "weak wind" in the late corn, the straw is easy to fall, seriously affecting the yield and quality of corn.

3. The method of fertilization is not scientific. Many farmers are used to applying urea directly to the bottom of corn roots after rain in the summer. It is believed that this saves time and allows the corn to be directly absorbed. In fact, the nitrogen fertilizer utilization rate of urea application is only about 55% of the application, that is, the fertilizer effect of the application of urea will lose about half, and it also causes a large amount of urea to directly melt with high temperature or wash away with rain.
