Children's paint prices are often more expensive than regular paint prices, but the quality of children's paint is not clearly distinguishable. The disparity in product prices, behind the prosperity of children's paint market, is actually not standardized. For the immature phenomenon in this emerging market, it needs to be standardized and guided through such methods as corporate self-discipline.

Most of the paint salesmen in the market introduce children's paints with “more environmentally friendly, more colorful” and “easy to scrub”. However, when requested to provide product testing reports or specific data on hazardous substances, some children's painters have indicated that they cannot provide corresponding certifications or are unclear about this. Even some small brands of ordinary paint and children's paint use exactly the same package, only on the lid with a sticker to write out the children's paint, the price will be a big cut.

In the face of children's paints that do not have uniform standards, what details should parents pay attention to when choosing? The first and most important criterion in selecting children's paints is environmental protection. Consumers can request test reports from selected brands of children's paint manufacturers. The content of harmful substances in VOCs should be extremely low or even zero. Second, scrub resistance can be used when purchasing.
