The solar energy industry in Guangdong has stagnated. The so-called photovoltaic power generation is the use of the photovoltaic effect, which allows sunlight to shine on the solar cells to generate electricity and generate electricity directly, thus forming a photovoltaic industry. Among the world's top 20 solar cell manufacturers announced by the authoritative research institution Solarbuzz, there are nearly 10 companies in mainland China. Prior to 2003, Chinese companies were listed on the list. Professor Shen Hui of Sun Yat-Sen University has long been committed to the research of photovoltaic technology. “This emerging industry can reach this level and is almost unprecedented.”

Guangdong is one of the earliest sources of photovoltaic industry in China. As early as the 1980s, Shenzhen had two companies, crystalline silicon cells and amorphous silicon cells, but it was shut down due to technical and market reasons. Before 2003, Guangdong's photovoltaic industry was leading domestically. China's solar lighting industry originated in Guangdong. In the following years, Guangdong's solar energy industry stagnated, and the company's production lines gradually migrated to other provinces. Shen Hui said that this and the government departments and entrepreneurs did not fully understand the importance and value of the photovoltaic industry. "There are even information that Guangdong's solar energy resources are poor and have no use value. In fact, Guangdong's solar energy resources are also relatively abundant." With sufficient rain, solar cell components can be washed regularly, but the use of the solar cell module will be better than some northern provinces where solar energy resources are relatively abundant."

"Xiaman Yao" and the solar power generation tower wiped off the shoulder Shen Hui revealed that after 2009, some large-scale power companies in Guangdong have begun to involve photovoltaic power generation, such as China Guangdong Nuclear Power, Guangdong Electric Power, China Southern Power Grid, Guangdong Hydropower, Guangzhou University City was also built Large-scale rooftop photovoltaic power stations, but compared with other provinces and cities in China, Guangdong's industrial development is still relatively backward.

In the Xiaogu circumstance science forum, Shen Hui shared the story of a Xiaoman Yao (Canton Tower) and solar energy. The top-level design must optimize Shen Hui's analysis. At present, the national government's top-level design for the development of the photovoltaic industry is in urgent need of further improvement. Photovoltaic energy cannot face the foreign market but ignore the domestic market. Guangdong should place photovoltaic development at the most important position in the development of strategic emerging industries. Grid companies can refer to Jiangsu and other provincial capitals and gradually introduce grid-connected photovoltaic power prices to promote the long-term development of the photovoltaic industry. In addition, we can research and introduce 100,000 or 1 million photovoltaic roof plans, focusing on villas, high-end residential and office space, and factory roofs, and gradually realize the goal of using 1% and 5% of electricity from photovoltaic power generation to promote the development of photovoltaic downstream application industries.
