On May 6th, a trial run of three buses equipped with multiple cameras began in Taiyuan. On the morning of May 17th, passengers boarding one of the buses noticed several cameras installed throughout the vehicle. Above their heads, there was a camera on the ceiling facing backward, capturing the rear area of the cabin. Another camera was placed at the back of the bus, looking forward to monitor the front section. A third camera was mounted at the windshield, providing a view of the road ahead. Additionally, a camera was installed on the driver’s head, directly facing the front door and the driver’s seat. In total, five cameras were installed across the bus.
A male passenger remarked, “With so many cameras, the whole bus is under surveillance. It helps catch thieves or prevent hooligans from causing trouble. Everyone knows they can’t deny what they did.â€
According to an official from the Taiyuan Public Transport Department, the camera installation is still in the experimental phase. The original rear-door camera was used to monitor the exit area, prevent unauthorized boarding, and help the driver track passenger movements. The four newly added cameras serve different purposes: the windshield camera captures road conditions and activity on the platform; the driver’s cab camera records the driver’s actions and passenger boarding behavior; two cabin cameras cover the front and rear sections of the bus, reducing blind spots through overlapping coverage. The video data from these cameras is stored locally on the bus's hard drive, similar to an aircraft's black box, and transmitted in real-time to the monitoring center for continuous oversight.
Moreover, the cameras installed on the bus are also beneficial for traffic police, helping them gather evidence against vehicles illegally using bus lanes. Inside the bus, the cameras help monitor passenger flow and maintain order, enabling more efficient scheduling and improving overall safety. The transport department is currently testing three types of buses, collecting data from the trial runs to make necessary adjustments before a full-scale rollout.
Shackles are also required by national standards. Specification documents are given for their technical parameters such as thread size and ring diameter. This is very necessary. If there is no standard to regulate it, then its ring diameter will be made by someone. The result is that the lifting weight is not enough, which is prone to accidents. Let's look at the picture above. The shaft below it can be unscrewed. After putting on the wire rope, tighten the shaft to fix the wire rope inside. Otherwise, a circle of wire rope cannot be hooked. live it up.
