Once the body covering has been removed during the space creation phase, and we have an immediate and quick rescue plan in place, we should strive to fully enter the vehicle and execute our final rescue plan.

The degree of full access to the vehicle depends on:

1 injured due to the condition of the decision time available.

2 The location / direction of the vehicle . This determines the maximum space that can be vacated.

3 The location or direction of the injured person. This determines the ultimate rescue channel.

Full access to vehicles not only makes the rescue process more conducive to the injured, but also ensures that rescuers have more work space and make the rescue process safer and easier. Even the lightest injured person can hardly be rescued in a harmonious manner. Therefore, a larger space can allow more rescue workers to carry out rescue work, thus alleviating the burden of rescue.

! Remember - if the injured are physically trapped in the car, they are in danger zone. This means that if the victim's cardiac arrest / breathing stops at any time , it cannot be withdrawn from the vehicle. At this point, the injured must be evacuated from the danger zone by creating space and removing the body covering. The longer the delay, the longer the injured person is in the danger zone.

Rescue path

If possible, the final rescue plan should allow the wounded person's head to withdraw from the car first. This will ensure the safety of the cervical spine. It is important to remember that since it is not possible to allow every situation, the field commander should (after learning the doctor's information) determine the rescue route that best meets the needs of the wounded.
