How to choose a magnetic separator

1. Select appropriate equipment based on the characteristics of each stage in the beneficiation process. This ensures optimal performance and efficiency throughout the operation. 2. For ores containing a high proportion of broken waste rock, a permanent magnet roller can be directly used as the drive roller of the conveyor belt to achieve preliminary tailings removal, reducing the load on downstream processing units. 3. Follow the principle of "more crushing and less grinding." When the ore is crushed into finer particles, depending on the ore's nature, dry or wet pre-selection can be applied before the ball mill to enhance the overall efficiency of the grinding process. 4. After ball milling and classification, the resulting aggregates are typically subjected to rough selection using a high-intensity magnetic separator. The maximum amount of magnetic iron ore is recovered and then further concentrated by the concentrator to meet the required grade specifications for the final concentrate. 5. To prevent large metal impurities from damaging the crusher, it is recommended to install metal detection and cracking equipment before the crushing stage, ensuring safer and more efficient operation. 6. Ore sample analysis should be tailored according to the specific properties of the customer's ore, allowing for the determination of the most suitable beneficiation process and equipment configuration. This approach not only improves the efficiency of the entire process but also reduces operational costs and enhances the quality of the final product.
