The project involves a comprehensive road renovation process, including shot blasting for pavement cleaning, the application of a rubber asphalt stress absorption layer, and the final SMA (Stone Matrix Asphalt) surface layer. This advanced technique ensures a smoother, more durable, and safer driving experience. The construction was carried out on June 22, 2011, with a focus on the high-traffic areas of Beijing Road. The project team used state-of-the-art equipment to meet tight deadlines, processing 80,000 square meters of road surface within just 10 days. A 2-20DT shot blasting machine from Qirui Tektronix was employed, allowing for efficient corner work, while a 2-4800DH driving device helped achieve a daily output of up to 12,000 square meters. After the shot blasting process, the pavement was left with a uniform, clean, and rough surface, which significantly improved the adhesion between the old road and the new rubber asphalt layer. This preparation step was crucial for ensuring the long-term durability of the new surface. The project not only enhanced the appearance of the road but also improved its performance under heavy traffic and harsh weather conditions. It serves as a model for future road reconstruction efforts in the region.
